Journaling for Self-Care
Journaling with the intention of self-care, wellness, and release.
Service Description
Journaling with the intention of healing and release can be very therapeutic. Especially in challenging times, self-care is one of the most essential steps we can take for ourselves, but where do we begin? Join Carolyn as she gently guides journalers of any experience through some simple yet powerful writing prompts and instruction. Recording includes Carolyn sharing tips and techniques, as well as holding space for the writing to take place during the class. Creating the circumstances around your journal session (when you actually sit down to write) plays a big factor, but so does the kind of writing you do… you may be tempted to rant and rave for page after page- but after 15 minutes- do you typically feel better or worse? Let Carolyn share with you tools and tips for effective, satisfying, and therapeutic journaling so that you can let go of whatever is stressing you out, and focus on healthy living. (Reminder: Journaling coaching focuses on the tools and techniques to satisfying journal keeping, not on your writing content, using the Write Yourself In method, as well as choosing the goals for your Wordcatching journal session.) Recommended supplies: a quiet, uninterrupted hour, something to write with and something to write on, cup of something toasty, and a cozy spot.
